4 Things You Shouldn’t Leave in a Hot Car This Summer
If you’re treating your car like a home on wheels, packing it with all kinds of goods, this one is for you. Because when the hot summer days come a lot of things will start melting. So what exactly is safe to keep in your blazing hot car during the summer days?

One of the major concerns these days is plastic leaching into our water. One study from the University of Florida indicates that when plastic water bottles heat up, they release a chemical called BPA that’s been linked to potential health risks. Plus hot water tastes gross! So why not get your own refillable stainless steel water bottle? It’ll keep your water icy cold — and be a lot better for the environment.
Having a bag of snacks in the car can literally be the best thing. But before you go and pack your kit, find out which foods can withstand the heat and which one will melt the most. Clearly, foods such as meat, cheese, or leftovers are a no go, their place is in the refrigerator. Also, foods like chocolate, chewy candy, or creamy brownies will definitely become a melting mess. Chips, crackers, nuts, and other hard snacks are heartier and safer bets for withstanding the heat.

3. Gym clothes
If you do any sports or you’re going to the gym often, we know that you want the flexibility to always have your gym clothes in the car. By all means, you can keep your running shoes in the car. (Although the heat can degrade the rubber over time). But, you should definitely avoid leaving your sweaty clothes in the car for the next workout. Yes, they’ll stink up your car, but what’s even worse, the moist can cause bacteria to build up and multiple, especially when you have your windows rolled up.
4. Beauty products
When these summer days are hot enough to melt the makeup on your face, It’s normal for you to want to fix it up in the car before you get to your destination. Though you might be tempted to redo your makeup on the way, your beauty inventory won’t be in good shape cooking in your hot car. If you absolutely must keep a make-up kit in your car, go for a powder foundation or blush. Which will definitely, hold up better than anything that’s liquid-based. (Or try this option: keep your beauty products in your purse during the hot summer.)
