How to File a Claim

1. Report the Claim

Policyholder: Log into your Policyholder Account (via your email-based login portal). There, click “File a Claim” to begin the streamlined process.

Alternatively, you can start the claim reporting using the online claim form or the First Notice of Loss (FNOL) portal. claims.coterieinsurance.com

2. By Phone

Certain claim types or preferences may be handled over the phone: call 1‑855‑680‑2440 (available 8 am – 5 pm ET).

3. What Happens Next?

After reporting, Coterie’s claims team becomes your single point of contact—from investigation to resolution.

Expect an adjuster to reach out, typically within 1 business day.

The adjuster will evaluate coverage, investigate the incident, and work towards settlement. Timing depends on complexity.

4. Useful Tips & Documentation

When filing via an agent or third party, make sure to include: policy number, insured name, date/time/location of loss, loss description, photos, police reports, and witness info (if available).

Act quickly—timely reporting helps preserve evidence and supports fair claim outcomes.

Avoid making independent payments or commitments without Coterie’s approval, as this may jeopardize coverage.

How to Pay & Update Payment Methods

Payment Options

Coterie accepts all major credit or debit cards (excluding prepaid or gift cards).

During the quoting or binding process—including via the “My Digital Agency” tool—customers can select monthly or annual payment plans.

Managing Payments

Log into your Policyholder Dashboard to make payments or update your payment method under the Payment Method or Billing Center tab.

Agents can also handle payments and payment updates on behalf of their clients directly from the Policies page in their dashboard.

Additional Notes

If a payment isn’t received, Coterie may be unable to renew the policy—so keeping payment info updated is crucial.
