At its core, AMIC insures a large market share of New Jersey’s taxis and limousines, and is a niche writer of trucking business — specifically owner-operator and small fleet motor carriers.

AMIC is a subsidiary of Citadel Reinsurance Limited, a Bermuda-domiciled reinsurer. Citadel acquired AMIC in October 2011 and restructured the reinsurance program, strengthening reserves and capital surplus.
